For many of the families we serve, the most important part of our work is bringing their loved one home.
Home is not always close. It may be a community at the end of a long gravel road. It may be a village deep in the Chilcotin, or up the coast. It may be a family resting place in another province, or overseas — India, the Punjab, or anywhere your family has roots.
Whatever home is, we can get your loved one there.
What we take care of:
- All of the paperwork — the Burial Transit Permit from BC Vital Statistics, the death certificate, and any other documents your destination requires
- The vehicle and the route — our staff travel long distances across the Cariboo and the Chilcotin every week, and we know these roads in every season
- For international travel — embassy and consular paperwork, airline cargo arrangements, and the sealed transport casket that international travel requires
- Coordinating with your family, your community, and anyone receiving your loved one at the other end
You do not need to know how any of this works. That is our job. When you call us, we will sit down with you, listen, and explain what is needed in plain words. Then we will take care of it.
Distance is not a barrier. Difficult roads are not a barrier. We have brought people home from far away, and we will do the same for your family.
